With lush green lawn surrounded by stately trees, it's the perfect location for an intimate garden wedding ceremony. Continue your celebrations with a memorable wedding reception in the spacious function centre and your dream wedding will be complete.

We caught up with the team from Highfields Cultural Centre to learn a little more about one of Toowoomba's leading wedding venues...

What are the unique and special features of the Highfields Cultural Centre?

With over 50 years of shared industry experience, you can be assured that your special day will be magical. Our passion for customer service has created lifelong friendships with our couples and a stellar reputation within our community. Unlike other venues, you and your guests will have exclusive use of the centre, ensuring an intimate occasion where all venue staff are focused entirely on you and your guests, making your special day perfect in every way.

What is the most memorable wedding that you can recall?

In 2018, we held an ‘Australia Day’ themed wedding for a couple from Roma. Our bride was determined to have her ceremony outside because unlike her hometown of Roma; our surroundings are green and lush.

When their special day finally arrived, we were expecting rain. Generally we would move the ceremony inside or undercover but Donna was determined on a ceremony on our lawn.

Mid way through the ceremony, without a single warning, the heavens opened and monsoon type rain bucketed down on the party. Our bride hiked her dress up to her knees and ran for cover with her guests trailing closely behind her.

The following 10 minutes was filled with hysterical laughter and applause. Our ceremony was concluded in the bar with a round of champagne.

Weeks later, we received images from Donna’s photographer who had captured the hilarity (see attached).
