Of her wedding day, Talitha says, "The drive to the church was the most memorable moment for me. There had been so much going on that morning that it was the first chance I had to come to the realisation that my dream since I had been four years old and walking around with a pillowcase on my head, was coming true and I was marrying my prince charming. In the bustle of Elizabeth Street, the old London taxi pulled up next to a car with a group of excited children in the back to see a bride on her way to her wedding. They waved eagerly to hail my attention and giving the maybe 10 year old girl a regal wave in return".

Talitha and Martin were married in front of 170 of their nearest and dearest in the Cathedral of St Stephen's, Brisbane, with a reception following at the Mercure Hotel. Their black and yellow colour scheme was a nod to Talitha's family, as both her parents and grandparents had the colour yellow in their weddings. And she tied it into to her wedding day attire with her bright yellow Chinese Laundry flats.

Martin and Talitha (and their bridal party) made quite the entrance to the reception with a last minute choreographed entrance. Each bridal couple danced into the reception venue, much to the surprise of their awaiting guests.

Talitha spent three years planning her dream wedding, making sure that it was every bit the fairy tale she had always dreamed of. From the personalised monogram that was used on everything from wedding stationery to the groomsmen's cigar favours, to the perfect guest book alternative - a silhouette image of the couple in front of the Wheel of Brisbane that was framed with a white border for guests to sign.

When it came down to it though, it was all about love, says Talitha, "For three and a half years I lived and breathed my wedding and all it embodied. The love we share is so intense and I needed to have the world know".
