When we found out that Tamara was wearing one of our Your Local Wedding Guide Gold Coast cover gowns on her wedding day, we just had to see the photos! Her gorgeous gown from Jonathan's Bridal at Southport looked amazing with the black accents she added to tie into her and partner Nathan's black and white colour scheme, and made it very much her own.

Tamara's beloved Pop took pride of place on the nightstand while she got ready for the ceremony, having passed away many years before the wedding, the bride to be wanted to make sure he was there in some way to see her get married.

Tamara's bridesmaid's were also dressed by Jonathan's Bridal, in stunning black strapless gowns, accessorised only by black beaded headbands.

Tamara and Nathan went to high school together, and while not technically high school sweethearts - Nathan was a friend of Tamara's high school boyfriend - the pair's shared love of tattoos and cars made them an inseparable pair once they got together. Nathan proposed on Tamara's 21st birthday while they stayed in Surfer's Paradise. Just as she was dozing off on the couch, he was placing the ring beside her and himself on one knee.

The ceremony took place at the Hyatt Sanctuary Cove Chapel in a service conducted by celebrant Clarah Luxford. Sixty-five of Tamara and Nathan's closest family and friends looked on as the happy couple tied the knot.

The reception followed at Bond University, and Tamara had nothing but great things to say about her experience, "We don’t have praises high enough for our experience at Bond. Lauren and her staff were incredible, everything was absolutely perfect and the service we received was second to none". Their black and white theme was carried through the venue by A Fabulous Event Planning Services, including a simple and elegant, 'Sweet Love' lolly bar that doubled as self serve bomboniere.

But the theme that really shone through as I looked through the photos of this wedding, wasn't black and white, but family and love. From the special touches to remember family member's like Tamara's pop, or the place setting left for an uncle who passed suddenly before the wedding, to the relaxed photos of the happy bride and groom with their friends and family. This wedding was filled with so much love it could burst through the computer screen ♥
