This beautiful Real Life Wedding was submitted on behalf of the bride by the girls from Jonathan's Bridal. "Shannon purchased her gown from us in March 2010 and for each fitting she attended, we'd get closer to her. The shocking news came on Australia Day 2011 that her Dad was found to have terminal Brain Cancer and may not make it to the big day. When we found out, our hearts ached for her."

Shannon's guardian angels were looking out for her though, as her dad was with her on her wedding day as she married her soulmate Jesse.

Shannon's stunning silk gown was purchased from Jonathan's Bridal at Southport and featured a sweetheart neckline, bustled skirt and train. The dress was capped off beautifully by the bride's floor length veil.

The theme was classic, Black & Ivory with just a hint of Victoriana. The whole thing played out wonderfully against the backdrop of Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast. The ceremony was held in The Glass Chapel, offering floor to ceiling views of the water, while the reception took place at the Hyatt Regency in The Grange room.














Shannon and Jesse's day was pure elegance, the bride swapped her veil for some pearls and a fascinator at the reception for a more relaxed look, and the black details really gave the room some punch.



The bride's dad made it to walk her down the aisle, passing away a week after the wedding. The moments captured by the photographer of Shannon and her dad will be memories to last a life time.
