Hello my name is Vicki Brogan and presenting beautiful white doves in handcrafted cages and decorated baskets to release at your wedding on the Sunshine Coast is my business.  Making sure the dove release brings an added highlight to your wedding and that you and your guests are enthralled by the experience is just as important to me.

Our white birds are descended from the Rock Dove Columba Livia and they are bred, raised and trained by us for special occasions.

Ross (my husband) ensures that all of my doves remain healthy and ready to fly at a moments notice. (although 24hrs notice is appreciated)   Ross has been involved with birds since he was young and today still fly’s his own flock of racing pigeons as a hobby.  His experience in monitoring and maintaining fit healthy birds ensures that they pose no health risk to anyone.  They are released twice a day, for exercise, and given large baths to bathe in once or twice a week depending on the weather.

The doves remain ‘wild creatures’ due to the fact, once they are released; they need to retain their homing and protective instinct, so they can make it safely home from each release.   Due to this, we cannot be responsible or guarantee that they will perform exactly as required each time. 

They do not fly at night – release time must allow them sufficient time to get home safely to their loft.  We do not fly the doves in bad weather conditions – decided by us, either at the time, or on the day of the ceremony.

At all releases of the doves, your guests will be asked to stand clear of their take off zone. This ensures everyone’s safety and prevents accidents and still allows for terrific photo opportunities.

For hand releasing the doves are not fed prior to your ceremony, plus we show you how to hold them so that the dove feels secure.  This ensures that there are no little accidents.  The doves are fed on return to their loft.

At this time we have had no little ‘accidents’ at any of our functions.

1 Ten doves In a decorated basket.  Can be released as a surprise as you are presented as husband and wife.
2 Two doves After the ceremony at a time decided by you a wedding/dove verse can be read out just before you release the doves.
3 Fantail Dove As a special touch at your ceremony in a decorated cage at your ceremonial table.
4 Twenty Doves in two original decorated tossing baskets Again what a tremendous surprise!
