Groomsmen
With so many options now available, many groomsmen decide to choose something different to the traditional suit. However, it should be the same suit or pants, shirt and jacket as the groom. The groomsmen usually differ from the groom by wearing a different colour vest, tie or other accessories. Although not imperative, it is also a good idea that the groomsmen have matching socks and shoes, even if they are not identical make sure that they have the same colour and that the shoes are either patent or matt. It is also a good idea to have a basic idea of the style of bridesmaids’ dresses to ensure your chosen suit style will complement them. While many groomsmen hire their suits, some choose to buy them to wear on other occasions.

Traditionally, groomsmen also play the part of usher, showing guests to their seats whilst they await the arrival of the bride and bridesmaids. More often than not these days, the bride and groom will ask other close friends or family to take this role. Lastly, don’t forget the groomsmen gifts, these are usually purchased by the groom as a thank you for taking part in the wedding as well as a way to commemorate your special day for years to come.

Page boys
When choosing the attire for the groomsmen, consider the page boy if you are having one. As they usually match the groomsmen, ensure the suit or outfit chosen is available in a smaller size. Like the groomsmen,a small gift is purchased by the groom and given to the pageboy as a memento of his contribution to your special day.
