Even though flower girls are cute, and adorable, they also can be difficult, inpatient and depending on the age require constant supervision. Not to mention the extra expenses incurred if your wedding is to have budget restraints. Deciding to have a flower girl at your wedding can prove to be a major choice when planning for the day. There are going to be extra costs incurred such as the flower girl attire.
Brides these days are starting to ask their designer to create or alter a dress to be reflective of the gown they are to wear themselves. A great idea might be to ask your designer to create a gown that could team with the bridesmaids dresses so the young one can feel somewhat grown up on the day and hopefully require that little less attention. Deciding to have a flower girl at your wedding may also mean you need to start thinking about a page boy. Once again, there are no set rules to follow however having a page boy at your wedding means the flower girl has someone closer to her age to keep her occupied at fittings, the celebrations, and most importantly the ceremony!
Once deciding to have a flower girl, try to invite her along to the fittings leading up to the wedding to try to make her feel as much as part of the bridal party as possible. Also be sure to try on the flower girl dress well in advance to ensure the dress is not itchy or too uncomfortable for her, as it's too late on the day!
