The beautiful beach and the relaxed feel of the resort was what prompted Amanda and Chris to choose Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort on Moreton Island for their recent wedding. “It was the perfect location, so close to Brisbane, where our families and friends could all stay and be together,” said Amanda, “plus we could have the relaxed casual beach-style theme we both wanted”.
Amanda and Chris’s families and friends arrived by launch to Tangalooma Resort throughout the day on Friday. The wedding party started with a beachfront barbecue at 5pm followed by the unforgettable experience of wild bottlenose dolphin feeding for those who wished to participate. Throughout the weekend, all 120 guests were able to enjoy the extensive facilities of the resort and for those with children, there were a number of accommodation options available.
“The ceremony on Saturday afternoon was beautiful,” said Amanda. “The wedding arch and chairs were set up on a lawn area right on the beach so the guests looked out over Moreton Bay throughout the ceremony – and the weather was perfect!” Pre-dinner drinks and canapés were then served in the Rotunda Garden before moving in to Chef’s Restaurant for the reception. “The room looked lovely with pale pink sashes complimenting the all-white theme and we arranged for our own bonbonniere, DJ and music. Everyone had such a wonderful time and the setting was absolutely beautiful. As it was the longest day of the year, we were able to enjoy the view throughout the evening and the spectacular sunset topped it off perfectly. For those that were in the party mood, we continued to celebrate in the bar after the reception,” finishes Amanda.
