| On the wedding day it is advisable to make your hairdressing
appointment as late as possible to ensure your hairstyle stays fresh.
After personal cleansing, hair is usually the first part of the wedding
preparation. Ensure you have time to do make-up, dress, and have
pre-wedding photographs taken before departing for the wedding venue.
The groom must also consider his hair and beard well before the wedding
day. If you are managing this yourself, consider how you will style
your hair and beard, and what you’ll need to do to ensure it looks its
best. If you are having a haircut, do so a week or two before the day
to give those cut ends a chance to look a bit more natural.
Some
men like to have their hair very subtly blow-dried for the day. If you
are doing so, make your appointment well in advance, and even have a
practice session with your stylist to ensure you both know exactly what
you want on the day. If you are doing your own hair, it’s a good idea
to practice yourself. That way, you’ll know what you’ll need
(hairspray, gels, razor, etc), and have no hesitation about how to
complete the style when it comes time to do it. It may be best to shave
the day before the wedding if you are prone to cuts. Of course, you can
organise a professional shave on the morning of the wedding if you’d
prefer.
