Petal cones are the perfect accessory for your wedding ceremony exit, and double as a sweet decoration for the ceremony venue.
First the tools:
A4 sheets of paper. We used a plain, patterned and transparent patterned sheet to give you a few ideas.
Scissors.
Clear double sided tape (so much easier than glue)
Embellishments (our daisy punch added quick character to the plain petal cone)
And of course your petals of choice.
Step 1. Take your sheet of paper and lay it patterned side down.
Step 2. Run a line of double sided tape along the long edge.
Step 3. Turn the sheet of paper so that the short edge is facing you. Start rolling your cone, keeping the bottom left corner in a point as you go.
Step 4. As you roll, your cone will start to form as it sticks to the double sided tape along the long edge.
And voila.
For our plain cone we repeated steps 1-4 and then rounded the top of the cone with a pair of scissors.
Take your daisy punch and punch shapes evenly around the top edge of the cone.
For our transparent cone, we followed the same steps again, this time cutting a v-shape at the front.
And there you have it. Each cone takes less that 5 minutes to make, and the colours, patterns, textures and embellishments are limited only to your imagination.
